Why Civil Engineering?

Hello Everyone!

This is Madhav Vamja and I will be covering Civil Engineering related topics on this website.

 

So, let’s recall the days where we were confused about what to opt after our class 12...CSE? ECE? ME? CE? What not!

 And then a few of us selected Civil Engineering. Well, we also heard from people that

1.       After your graduation, you won’t have a job by then.  
2.       The recruitment rate is low in Civil Engineering
3.     And most of the people think that we either scored less in the competitive exams or we were not able to get through any other branch, therefore, we opted Civil Engineering #bitter-truth

So I feel that opting for Civil Engineering itself turns out to be an Achievement for us. #Achievement No.01

Now let’s understand what Civil Engineering actually means, the term engineering means trying to solve problems and executing things in an easier manner using technology. In simple words, Civil means the public, the society we live in. So our designation itself speaks that we serve the nation.

So we are the avengers who serve the nation, definitely a proud moment for us! #Achievement No.02

To be honest, less number of students of Civil Engineering indeed get placed when compared to other branch students. But let’s understand the difference between two things A & B

A’s value increases as the time passes on.

B’s value initially is high but then later the increment takes place slowly.

We belong to category A, like our work deals with the lives of many people so definitely, EXPERIENCE plays a crucial role. Once we enter the industry and start working we gain experience in that particular field and eventually master that particular work. And you know how experts are treated in this world.

 

So Civil Engineers do have value in the society #Achievement No.3

 

 

When it comes to building a bright and fruitful career in Civil Engineering I would like to tell you that a combination of subjects is enough to lead us to a bright future. In this modern era, we too have many software like AutoCAD, Revit, 3DS Max, Primavera, Etabs, SAP2000, Sketch-Up, SAFE, etc...

If we are able to master any of them then definitely we can have a fruitful future ahead which will let us follow our dreams.

So we can also have a bright career and follow, fulfill our dreams #Achievement No.4

 

 

Let’s consider an example in general, people have a dream of having their own home and somewhere indirectly we too are helping them in fulfilling their dream. So we do have an inner satisfaction. And for me, success is seeing people smiling and the reason behind that smile is us.

So I hope that I was able to bring a positive vibe among all of us. And if I yell How is the josh!

We heard the quote that, “Sometimes the journey is more beautiful than Destination”. So in this journey of learning, I would try my best to teach topics in an easy and understandable way. The topics may be less but I would try that it reaches you.

 

And just think for a human to survive the basic assets are Shelter, Food, Water and we Civil Engineers deal with all the three, so guys never question yourself why did I choose Civil Engineering and always try to boost up your morale.
